The house is located near Lesya Ukrayinka Square in the business, administrative, scientific and cultural center of Kyiv, close to “Pecherska” subway station and convenient roads. It is a good addition to the modern buildings of this street.

This street was created under its current name in 1961 as a result of merging two other streets — Novohospitalna (that emerged in the second half of the 19th century) and Surykova Steet (which was a part of Nimetsko-Bekhterevska Street until 1938). The first buildings appeared here at the end of the 19th century. Since earlier due to vicinity to New Perchersk Fortress the construction of the residential buildings was prohibited, the majority of buildings on Shchorsa Steer were erected in 1950–1970.
